The Norman Rea Gallery is proud to announce its first exhibition of both the new academic year and the 2026/2027 Committee: Memorabilia: Lost Encounters. This exhibition explores the human psyche through the act of remembering, examining the fragmented, and often misremembered memories that shape our perception of the past. Rather than presenting memory as a fixed or reliable record, it considers how recollection is continually reconstructed and influenced by factors such as time, and personal experience. Memorabilia: Lost Encounters brings these ideas into dialogue, asking where reality ends and subconscious begins. Through the artists presented in the exhibition, memory becomes less a record of what was, and instead a space in which experiences are continually rewritten and transformed.

The opening night for Memorabilia: Lost Encounters will take place on Thursday, 8th  October, from 18:30 - 21:00. In addition to the exhibition, the Norman Rea Gallery will run a rich programme of events and workshops, further drawing upon the themes raised within the artworks displayed.
